I've had coffee at many different places, but I must say that the coffee at Soma Coffeehouse was the very best I have ever had!!! Not only was the atmosphere funky and fun, but the baristas were extremely talented and knowledgeable about coffee.

Anytime I am lucky enough to visit Bloomington, I go to this coffee shop. It has been here forever and is a staple in the community. Does that mean the coffee is “meh” and the food is “so-so”? Absolutely NOT. The baked goods that are available are delicious and nutritious (as best they can be considering they are indulgent foods). The coffee is creative and enjoyable. The atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking for an escape from solid colored corporate chain coffee shops that are absolutely soul sucking and terrible for your mental health. Go to Soma. Bring a book. Recharge.

I came here with a group of friends and it was so cute, supportive, and inclusive! I got the Oahu with whipped cream on top and it was delicious. Plus, the service was amazing. Not sure of her name but a girl with short hair here was so sweet and easy to talk to while ordering. I didn’t get anything apart from the coffee but my friends all loved it. Also, the interior was so cute and cozy!!

Fantastic gem of Bloomington. Friendly, interesting, creative, easy. Great cup of coffee too. I ordered dark chocolate with a double shot and it was the best coffee I’ve had in Indiana

Five stars is for coffee. I did not get any food. This was my first time at this location. I've had coffee at a different Soma before and the coffee is excellent at both locations. I like this one for the unique decor. The interior is decorated very cool giving off the small coffee shop vibe. Stop in for a good cup of coffee!

I used to come here all the time when I lived near Bloomington and I loved the vibe. I was in the area (ie 3 hours away and made the extra drive haha) so I stopped by yesterday and this morning and the coffee is still amazing. The staff were all super friendly and answered all my questions. My friend ordered a single shot of espresso on ice and they offered to give him an extra shot for free which I thought was nice. They've taking good health safety precautions by removing all the tables and seating inside and leaving hand sanitizer by the front door. They do have tables outside and have signs indicating whether they've been sanitized between customers which I thought was really nice. They do request that customers wear masks inside but they didn't turn away customers that weren't wearing masks. I'm so sad I live so far away from soma but I will definitely make an effort to stop by any time I'm nearby.
